Mininova develop new Server Content Distribution

14 January 2008 No Comment

The past years Mininova become the biggest and most popular torrent tracker on the internetmini.jpg. Now they are re-defining content delivery by introducing free Content Distribution. The new service would provide legal torrents (downloads) and will boosting the download speed.

Benefits:

  • Premium exposure to more than 27 million people visiting Mininova.org monthly. Distributed content will be marked as featured, listed at the top of the frontpage.
  • No bandwidth costs: upload your content once, and we’ll distribute and seed it for you. Proven to scale to millions of downloads, even with large files.
  • Easy interface, no need to master the technical background of P2P and BitTorrent protocols. Distributing content takes a single click.
  • And best of all, it’s totally FREE! No strings attached.

Emule launched a similar project earlier. But the big difference is that the database links to the content on the eDonkey2000 network, not actually hosting it.

Limwire launched a similar project but then over the Gnutella network.

This way to host legitimate content over a file-sharing network, is not the first.
