LimeWire biggest filesharing program

31 December 2007 No Comment

36.4% of all the personal computers worldwide now have LimeWire installed, according to BigChampagne, Digital Music news media tracking specialist. The growth in 2007 is impressive. But what are the main reasons? If you go back to the past it is very logic.1999 - 2002: We had Napster, napster died

2000 - 2006: We had Kazaa, fasttrack network died (was infected)
2006 - till now: We have LimeWire

Of course there are many better possibility’s to download, for example Bittorrent, but for the average computer user is LimeWire easy to use. Newsgroups (binary) and Bittorrent gave us more opportunities but is for many people hard to understand.
